Ranking #8 on my Top Ten Films of 2011 was a little independent gem called Take Shelter, the second directorial effort from Jeff Nichols. Nichols returns with Mud, the tale of an escaped convict (Matthew McConaughey) who befriends to boys that promise to help him evade the bounty hunters chasing him in order to reunite with his one true love (Reese Witherspoon).
